what is it called...the japanese tradition?

when a girl turn 18 and they have something like a ceremony

It's for when she turns 20, and becomes an official adult (similar to the Quincera tradition in Hispanic culture, or the Sweet Sixteen in Euro-American culture). The coming of age ceremony is called "seijin shiki" and is traditionally held on the second Monday of January.

not sure,your question is vague. in some asians cultures they still believe the father should be the one to take a girls virginity,i would call that incest.
