LOL All those cutsey names will backfire! A boy needs a strong name. The old names are strong.
I am NOT homophobic but those names come from watching too much "Queer Eye" . Hard to imagine "Gaige" being anything less than a fashion queen.
However, I do have a nephew called Jayden! His family is from the Caribean and it is very fitting for a strong little black boy!
Go with the traditional names. I love the Biblical names. If you want to be a tad different use the name in a slightly spelling. For example Dafydd is Hebrew for David. That sort of thing.
This is a cool site:

You have lots of time. Part of the pleasure of pregnancy is fiddling about with the name.
For my first child, since I was clueless, asked all my friends for ideas. One older German woman came up with a few but eventually she hit one and I "knew" immediately.
I like that site because it is multicultural and simple and gives the original language as well as translation.

I also really dislike trendy names like the ones you mentioned. I really don't like trendy names for girls, but I especially think that boys should have strong, masculine, more traditional names. (Can you imagine a successful businessman named Braxton, a US president named Tayvin, or a grandpa Riley?) I don't like the dull, overused names either. To make sure that a name isn't too common, you can go to the Social Security Administration's site, and see name popularity for each year. When I named my daughter and son, I made sure that their names weren't in the top 50 for the five years before they were born.
I like names that aren't used much (so your kid won't have half-a-dozen friends with the same name) but that everyone has heard of (so your child won't be burdened with explaining his "weird" name his whole life.) My son's name is Seth. We also considered Evan, Mason, and Isaac.
My other suggestion is to look around your family for inspiration, and play with the names. For example, if you have a beloved relative named John, but think his name is dull, consider Ian (the Celtic form of John) or Evan (the Welsh form of John.) If the name William runs through your family, but you can't bear the thought of giving your child such an ordinary name, try Liam, which is the Celtic form of William.
Keep looking. The right name is out there.

It's really hard to name a boy in my opinon. I searched high and low for a good baby name and ended up using one I had picked in High School...you know when your dreaming of your furture kids, lol.
Amazingly hubby loved it right away, it was after my Grandpa. We named our son Hunter William. Also high on the list was Michal Ethan (we chose the Biblical spelling of Michael). We also liked the name Isaac Xavier and Aiden Blake. This time around we also chose to add the name Roman for a boy. We've already decided on Roman as a boy name and we'll find out on Monday if we need a boy or a girl name!
Names hubby wouldn't agree on:
Noah
Caleb
Liam (could even name him William and use Liam as a nickname)
Gideon
Romeo

I agree with you about the fangled names. LOL!
Here's some of my favorites:
Isaiah, Jeremiah, Joseph, Nathaniel, Micah, Benjamin, Moses, Abraham, Luke (Lukie), Timothy, Daniel, Elijah, Joel, Samuel, Samson, Solomon, Andrew, Noah, Jonah, Stephan, Johnathan, Ephraim etc...these are all strong & mighty names in the Bible. They're great for boys.
Have fun deciding & Congratulations!

Michael Wenrich is nice. Or... James, Andrew, or Daniel.
I really like these sites:
http://www.babynamegenie.com/baby-name-generator/ -- In this one, you can put your last name in and it gives you pretty random suggestions.
http://babynamewizard.com/namevoyager/lnv0105.html -- In this one, you can search at names and see their popularity over the years. Type a first letter or name into the 'search' bar and it has tons of baby names.
Good luck!

I like the name Casey. It's not real popular but at the same time it's not a really weird name that the child will hate you for later either.
