I have a few male friends and am starting to believe that they are more trouble than theyre worth.Things are usually fine till they get a girlfriend,i dont hear from them for a while and when i do its always the same thing "the girlfriend doesnt like it" Im married and my husband has met all my friends numerous times, one of them he,s now probably better friends with than me.Why cant some people get it into theyre head that you can like someone and want to spend time with them, without wanting to jump into bed?My husband has a female partner at work and sometimes goes for a drink with her, i think she,s great and it,s never crossed my mind to say i wasnt happy him having a female friend.Whats youre experiences do they work or not?

Yes they can but there has to be no attraction from either side otherwise it can be trouble. I say at the first sign of something other than friends you need to have a conversation with him/her or just let it go.

close, trusting, sharing, intimate yet no longer sexual in any way whatsoever. a number of my ultimate acquaintances have been men. some worked for a whilst then fizzled for extremely some motives, yet my ultimate pal remains a guy - the massive element is that we purely do no longer fancy one yet another - by no ability have, by no ability will. Any romantic or sexual action - even 'purely' a too-plenty-for-acquaintances hug or kiss - is stepping over the line. And if one in each of you has romantic/sexual thoughts for the different, then the friendship is doomed!

i have had nothing but guy friends. and at one point in time all of them have liked me. i think it's easy for women to be just friends with men. but i have often heard "a friend that's a girl is just a girl they haven't slept with yet" or "in the back of their mind they always think they have the chance to sleep with her" i think it can work if both people in the friendship are mature. and if their girlfriends are the ones having an issue with them having female friends they obviously do not have too much trust in their relationship.

My best friend is a male and I have yet to encounter a problem with it. I have introduced him to my boyfriends right up front and they never had a problem either. He also introduced me to his g/f's as his best friend and none of them have had any problems either. Being honest up front and telling them about your friends, all of them, is a good idea to avoid any misunderstandings. Not all people feel this way.. not sure why.
