I have to chair our team's monthly team meeting and have been asked to think of 'something interesting' to do during/after/before the meeting. (Just so that it isn't all boring business).

I was thinking of something with a valentines day-ish, boy/girl theme, as the meeting is on Wednesday (the 14th) and I work with a bunch of engineers (5 other males and me being the only girl) in the design team of a roads company.

Any suggestions? I was thinking something in the ice-breaker/quiz-ish sort of area, but really have no idea!

Help!!

Well, since it is a design team of engineers, why not follow along those lines in your ice-breaker/quiz, i.e., if they could design ANYTHING of their choosing or dreams, what would it be? I would think that question alone could take up a great deal of time, add a bit of humor and ingenuity to the meeting.

Maybe have a rose or other single stemmed flower at each of their seats , for when the arrive. Some treats or munchies to enjoy?

Since the rest of your team consists of men, I'm not sure how comfy they would feel giving Valentines gifts to one another,etc.. I would stick with conversational games. Good luck!

We did this cool thing once at a meeting. We got balloons on string and tied them round our ankles then we had to chase each other round and pop each others balloons. the last person with a balloon got a prize. it was the best ice breaker I've ever seen!

Get a cheap bingo set from Woolies or where-ever, and some small prizes.
Have a raffle ditto.
Put a post-it note with a name or whatever on each person's forehead, and they have to ask each other questions (no yes or no ones) to find out who they are. Ditto prizes.
Hope this helps. LOL

how about something similar to secret santa. everyone picks a name and has to get a valentines gift for this person. make it more fun and have a topic such as "cheesiest gift".
