People are humans. IS that reason enough to end a marriage?

End a marriage, perhaps not. But it is still cheating, and he now has the full and absolute right to never trust you again in anything you ever do. Yes, people are humans, and make mistakes. But, people must also own up to their mistakes and suffer the consequences to their actions. I'm sorry. You were very wrong.

I would have great difficulty with this situation. You seem to imply that's it's a mistake. That is just accidently happened. I don't see it that way. To even have those types feelings for someone else is a type of betrayl. Let alone to go back to the one you left for a make out session.

It leaves your partner wondering what really caused that. And it wouldn't matter if you claimed it was just a mistake - the trust of a marriage would be broken. That's something that can't be fixed over night.

Also, consider how much you really love your current spouse if you are off making out with your ex. A marriage is love, a partnership. Where is your love for your spouse if you are out doing this.

It may not end a marriage but it certainly would damage it.

I don't know, it would depend on the situation. It's one thing to run into someone at a party and end up making out with them, it's another to seek this person out deliberately with the purpose of making out. If I thought my spouse was chasing an ex, I would end the marriage.

Well i would defiantly have big time trust issues..maybe after years of counseling some would get over it..but most the time when the trust is gone it is almost impossible to get it back and the relationship inevitably falls apart...but then again the relationship was in trouble in the first place if the other one makes out with his ex

I would need more information on this. But making out with an ex is cheating on the other persons trust and heart. Some people could not trust again after that.

Yes I would end my marriage as that would be cheating in my eyes and I would have no respect or trust in my spouse after that.

If the marriage was continued what would stop them from having sex with other people as the next step.

For every marriage there has to be rules and how you respect those rules, shows how you respect your spouse

So yes it would be over.

You're right, people are humans and we have feelings too. I certainly would be very devasted for weeks and never trust you again. If you made out with an ex it seems to me you still have something going on with them, it's considered cheating to me. Trust will never be the same ever.....

No. I wouldn't. But some people are very insecure and that is a breaking of sacred marriage vows. Next time, try a Barney instead.

No, I would not end my marriage over that. However, I think the scary thing about being your husband would not be the act itself, but your lack of remorse over it. It speaks poorly either of your marriage or of your values (only you can say for sure which, maybe both) that you do not have a sense of guilt for what you did.
