Ehh....I would if the replacement parts were as good as, or better than, the originals. That is the kicker, we have artificial hearts, are working on artificial seeing eyes, but the tech is such that *everyone* knows it isn't as good as the real thing.
And even so....if I were to do it, I'd want it done either one of two ways:
--Do as little as needed, so I could pass for human and *not* get hooked on painkillers trying to deal with the pain the remains of my body would be in, or:
--Just make myself a humanoid machine....throw out everything but my brain, eyes and upper spinal cord. I'd say just use my head and neck, but no, that would leave the remaining tissue too vulnerable. Too much pain and or deterioration from surgeons not getting *everything* attached again....
Yeah, I know, it makes me a wuss and all....but I do know a few things about this stuff--I was a *Huge* fan of the Six Million Dollar Man on TV back in the 1970s, so yeah, I did look into prosthetic technology....and it is sooo overrated compared to the real, homegrown, organic thing.
Just saying....Thanks for your time. ^_^
