Put almond oil (or if you can afford it, use Solar Oil) on your cuticles before bed. Also, if keep your nails polished, even if it's clear polish. Your cuticles are dry because your nailbed is soaking up all of the oil in your skin, thus causing the dryness and probably hangnails. Keeping polish on your nails prevents this.

I have an old recipe that my mom and grandmother used to use, heat a little bit of olive oil (but don't heat too much) and squeeze a few lemon drops on top. Use a piece of cotton to soak and distribute on your nails and cuticles. You should feel the difference right away, and day after day your nails and the skin around will improve. It's natural, green and works Good luck

you mean that thin hard skin right on your nail? that is called..ptergium or tergium or something(it has been a while) Soak in warm water, apply cuticle softening lotion and push them back either with your finger nail or a cuticle pusher. You can cut them off too but it usually cuts chunks of your nail out and looks worse.

1. soak in warm, soapy water for several minutes

2. put petroleum jelly (vaseline) onto your cuticles and push back.

3.add moisurizing lotion daily and regularly

4. salons have services such as parrafin wax that will soften your entire hand. you should do this monthly and take care of your skin at home during you salon visits with the steps above.

start by drinking more water, then hot oil treatment can be applied I use Walnut oil and put in in a small bowl in the microwave for about 10 seconds then dip my fingers in the bowl and let sit for a few minutes then rub in the oil to the cuticle afterward.

my skin is the same way. I just put lotions and creams on them and keep them moist. if you want you could go out and buy some special cream for it, but for an easy at-home thing just use lotions and creams that you already have around your house.
