Everywhere. Internet. Network news. Fox news. NPR. Newspapers. Radio. The thing is that unless one uses a variety of sources and understands the biases of each source, then one is not truly getting informed. Because no one source is going to have full and unbiased news.
And, to paraphrase Neal Boortz:
Don't believe anything you read ... or, for that matter, anything you hear...., unless it is consistent with what you already know to be true, or unless you have taken the time to research the matter to prove its accuracy to your satisfaction. This is known as "doing your homework."
Heed this and you will be well-informed.

Unfortunately there isnt such a thing. Take 2 sources from each oppsosing side and then figure out the middle. SOmetimes is easy to tell when the information is not right is just a matter of paying attention.
Take the NY TImes. posted picture of a man dead after an israeli bombing. BUt the body looked like it jsut took a shower while everhting else inclusding the people helping where dusty. So what does that say to you.

There is no single source for news today. News is what the net works want it to be. They select the stories and the slant the coverage on those stories will be. I suggest you view all outlets. Fox for a pro American conservitive slant. The major networks for an internationalist and liberal slant. NPR for government propaganda geared to showing a value to government programs and liberal ideology. Stay open to those ideas you disagree with and meld the coverage to gain a more balanced view of the truth. Every outlet has it's own agenda. News is a product sold to the consumers there of. If you have solid core values you will not be swayed by the partisian BS of any of them

enable me initiate you off with some definitions. in the united states the words Left and actual on the problem of politics have a diverse which means than they do in different international locations. That causes dissimilar confusion. you spot, in different international locations they have a legacy of monarchy and they settle for the theory that all potential is living in the authorities and that the authorities resources wealth and the rights the persons delight in. So there, the words actual and Left are like 2 rails on a music both heading interior of an similar route. on the Left is Socialism on the right Fascism. yet in u . s . of america, we do not have any legacy of monarchy. Our authorities is in accordance to very diverse concepts. the following, the authority to regulate comes from the author (God) and is going no longer to any monarch yet on to each and each and every human being American Citizen. We then in trouble-free terms lend that authority to our political leaders in measured volume and for constrained period at oftentimes scheduled elections. So, in American actual and Left are defined this kind. initiate with a line. Now position a aspect in the middle and that is suggested as average. flow alongside the line in route of the Left and also you discover Liberal/inventive. keep going Left and also you discover Socialism. keep going Left and also you ultimately discover Totalitarianism or entire authorities administration. initiate again on the middle and flow to the right and also you discover Conservative, then Libertarian and ultimately each and each and every of how on the right you discover Anarchy or no authorities in any respect. The more beneficial you flow Left the bigger the authorities and the smaller the citizen. the more beneficial you flow actual the smaller the authorities and the bigger the citizen. immediately, the Democrat get mutually is on the Left and the Republican get mutually is on the right. I doubt there's a lot threat to learn in severe college, because they have a diverse time table. yet you are able to honestly learn lots through interpreting and listening. the following is an effective video or 2 first of all. *

I suggest 'everywhere.' Unfortunately, all news media, and all sources will have a bias. Learn to read without making up your mind first, and listen without pre-judging. I think then you will be well on your way to forming your own informed opinion. Listen to arguments that you don't agree with, and ask yourself how you would counter them. Read domestic and foreign sources, to see how politics are perceived where you are and from abroad. Don't be afraid to ask questions, especially the difficult ones.
Good luck! We need more informed voters, even if I don't agree with your choices I will respect it more.

The most trustworthy, neutral news source is The Newshour on PBS. It comes on 1 hour per day Monday through Friday on your local PBS channel. It will cover in that one hour what all the cable news channels have talked about all day long.... leaving out the rhetoric.
You can go to
http://www.pbs.org/newshour/
to get an idea of things they cover.

Well look at what issues you know, and what you feel is right such as, Iraq war, immigration, abortion, economics, etc. But looking for different varieties is good, especially if you have an open mind.

Unbiased? Good luck!!!!! Lehrer News Hour on PBS is a good start. He at least has snake oil salesmen of both sides spouting their opinions.
The Guardian is a good source. BBC World News.
Stay away from all US mainstream media. Its worthless.

Try watching The News Hour with Jim Lehrer on PBS. It is informative about today's events AND gives both sides to the story.
Kudos to you, btw!
