she's such a b*tch to people she doesn't like, but a judge isn't supposed to take sides. For example, if she had a drugged out looking defendant, and a clean, well dressed prosecutor, she would be a total beeyotch to the defendant, and treat the prosecutor kindly. That isn't right. A judge of all people should know that you can't judge a book by its cover. BOTH sides should be treated equally, and with respect. Am I right or wrong?

I don't particularly like how she acts regardless of how a person is dressed or behaves. But face it, you can't come to court looking "drugged out." Its serious business even if its on tv and you're suing your ex-boyfriend/crackdealer for the "loan" he never repaid, which by the way is the easiest way to get her to be a total *b* to you because as she puts it, "I don't like stupid women." As the Baretta song said, "Don't do the crime, if you can't do the time." Not that that applied to Robert Blake-but I digress. Judge Judy is no nastier than any other judge you'll find in a court today. Most of them are as obnoxious as its humanly possible to be. They're also overpaid and probably naked under their robes too.

It may be on television but it is still a courtroom. People are supposed to dress and act appropriately in court. She has earned her title to be a judge and has been for many, many years. Most of those drugged out looking defendants get what they deserve from her. You shouldn't go to court all drugged out anyway. She tells it like it is.

I'm on your side. I think Judge Judy's courtroom behavior is ridiculous and one sided a lot of the time, but then I remember she is interested in entertaining and has to put on a bit of a show so looking at it from her perspective I can condone her behavior.
I watch her sometime but don't necessarily like her.

A title of Judge, Doctor, General, Admiral etc is Earned and/or
appointed through no lack of effort of the recipient. "Deserved"
is arbitrary, and in a sense is left to individual opinion.

She gives me the impression of being a hard-a.ss Republican. She always comes down on anyone who's ever been on welfare. Her own right-wing prejudices seem to overwhelm the possibility of even-handedness.

But, that's show biz!
