My husband and I have been trying to conceive. We got off the pill last May, and my periods have always been regular...until last month. My last full period was before Christmas. Last month, I was 3 days early and it only lasted 1 day. This month, I was a week early and again it only lasted 1 day. Before the mini- periods I did have some spotting. We have taken 2 pregnancy tests, and they were both negative. Could I be pregnant, or...what could it be?? Thanks in advance for your help!

Normally my periods are 6-7 days long...these last 2 times have been a day with only 1 tampon used. The only other symptom I have is tender breasts. Is it possible that a blood test would pick up what a urine test does not?

I'm kinda in the same boat. I've been on the pill for about 10 years. I stopped taking it last month. For almost 2 weeks now, I've had so many signs of early pregnancy, extremely sensitive nipples (they hurt for while, but now are uncomfortable sensitive), on and off nausea (comes in waves), on and off very mild cramping, and slight spotting. My period was due today and I'm still waiting. I took 2 pregnancy tests and both were negative. I'm waiting to see what happens in another few days and I'm going to take another test. If my symptoms are still lingering and my period doesn't come, I'm calling my doctor to get a blood test done. You may want to do that! Hang in there!!

Well I always heard that when you get off the pill you have like 99% chance for getting pregnant real fast. Also sometimes you can be pregnant and the test just don't pick it up... I don't know that much about taking a pregnancy test by taking blood... But sounds to me that you might be pregnant... It also can be your hormones from stress cause you want to get pregnant so the best advice I can give to you is to go see a doctor.... Good Luck....

How long were you on the pill? I took it for almost ten yrs. The doctor told me to wait four months before I tried to conceive. I got pregnant five months after I quit taking it, and had a miscarriage. It took me almost a year to get pregnant and have my son after I quit taking the pill. They say the pill has no side affects, I just dont believe that now.

I tested negative when i tested at home(urine test), but positive at the doctor's. Visit a doctor, at least a lot will be explained and whatever the outcome you will feel more at peace than being uncertain. All the best

There are women who don't test positive on home pregnancy tests. It is very rare though. I would see your doctor no matter what b/c you either have a hormonal imbalance or a pregnancy.

It is definitely something you should have your doctor check out.

Definitly act like you are pregnant (no drinking and take your vitamins!) until you can get into your doctor. There are a few things that can interrupt your cycle, but only your doctor can tell you for sure.
GOOD LUCK!

talk to your doctor, it could just be stress making your periods lighter and shorter.
