This song has become famous for being a classic example of "shopping mall" or "elevator" music. But, it has no lyrics because it only consist of the violin and some minor back beat from I think the piano. I know how it goes, but I just can't seem to find the name of it.

Here is how the notes go for the violin part (capital letter signifies a note hold):

Hopefully, any musically inclined people will know the song right away if you just know those notes and can hum the tune.

I believe what you could be referring to is "A Summer Place" by Percy Faith and his orchestra. (Does it mean that I am old remembering this tune?) You can find the tune here http://wilstar.com/midi/sumrplac.htm
