Depilatory hair removal creams are only slightly better than shaving. The downside being that many people suffer a reaction to the strong chemical ingredients. Always conduct a patch test on a small area of skin and wait 24 hours to gauge the reaction.

There are some good depilatories available from Skin Doctors.

A better alternative would be a good sugaring product like Moom. Sugar based waxes only stick to the hair and not the skin so are less painful. Hair removal by the root is by far the best method and the results last 4-6 weeks. Long term waxing can also lead to permanent hair loss if the hair gives up trying to regrow itself.

There are also home laser hair removal kits available now. The Rio for example uses a safe 808nm diverging laser and has been tested extensively in the U.K.

I wouldn't use it if i were you, i've tried it and it stinks the place out!!

It only lasts the same time as shaving, so i'd reccomend shaving, it's cheaper, less messy and less time-consuming. Also, hair-removal cream is full of chemicals, even the sensitive ones, so i wouldn't bother.

I have tried shaving and cream, and shaving is by far the best. But for the past year, i have tried waxing, which hurts the first time, but as you get used to it its not so bad. And it's so worth it! Re-growth comes so slow i only have to do it once every 6-8 weeks!!

Hope that helped and good luck with whatever you choose :]

It depends on what type of hair you're removing, some areas grow faster than other. It can be really good on soft hair, like facial or if you have fair leg hair. You can get different types of cream depending on your skin sensitivity. Imac is a good name for bikini or leg hair. If you're doing your lip then use a specialist one for facial hair. If your hair normally grows back quickly then it will do that with cream too. Waxing slows it down as it has to regrow from the root. But the hair will be slightly softer as the cream dissolves the tip whereas shaving blunts it.

Yes I find it good, it depends on your hair growth how long it lasts. It is quick and painless. If you are sensitive you may need to try a small piece first b4 you use a lot.

Good. Lasts for 3 days before you need to do it again and most creams are pleasant smelling nowadays.
