Are they collector's books? Or just regular stuff? If it's just regular stuff, try any used bookstore in your area. If they're collector's items, I've seen collector's editions get good prices on Ebay.

Yep, I'd try Amazon, eBay or Tazbar.com.
Otherwise, maybe you could wander along to a local antique book seller or look out for an antiques fair near you - someone may be willing to make an offer. (Of course, if you can, try to research how much they might be worth first)

If you are not up on internet auctions, Amazon etc how about visiting local second hand book dealers and flogging them as a job lot.
