two walls are 20 by 9
2 walls are 18 by 9
so area of a 20 by 9 wall is 180 sq ft
area of a18 by 9 wall is 162 sq ft
so 180+180 for the 20 by 9 walls
and 162+162 for the 18 by 9 walls
180+180+162+162=684 sq ft

You will have to calculate the area of the four walls separately and add them up.

Area of Wall-1 = L * H = 20 * 9 = 180 ft^2

Area of Wall-2 = W * H = 18 * 9 = 162 ft^2

Area of Wall-3 = L * H = 20 * 9 = 180 ft^2

Area of Wall-4 = W * H = 18 * 9 = 162 ft^2

Sum of the areas = 684 ft^2

That is your answer

Area of front wall = l x h = 20 x 9 ft² = 180 ft²
Area of back wall = l x h = 20 x 9 ft² = 180 ft²

Area of right hand wall = 18 x 9 ft² = 162 ft²
Area of left hand wall = 18 x 9 ft² = 162 ft²

Total area = 360 + 324 ft²
Total area = 684 ft²

The first thing you need is the area in square ft. of all the walls. These would be two walls @ 20 by 9 &two walls @18 by 9.
20 by 9 =180 +180=360 and 18 by 9 =162 +162 = 324
324 +360 = 684 sq.ft.

It is a rectangular prism, which will have two identical opposite walls, as room dimensions given by, wall will be

20 x 9 - 2 nos
and
18 x 9 - 2 nos

Total sq ft of wall paper needed

= 20*9*2 + 18*9*2

= 360 + 324

= 684 sq ft

Well you have 2 walls that are 20 x 9 and 2 walls that are 18 x 9...I am assuming you aren't walpapering the ceiling and the floor and this is also assuming that you don't have any windows or doors...because you wouldn't wallpaper those. So the answer is

2 x ((20 x 9) + (18 x 9)) = 684 square feet

there are two 9x18 walls and two 9x20 walls
9 * 18 = 162 ft²
9 * 20 = 180 ft²
(2 * 162 ft²) + (2 * 180 ft²) = 694 ft²
this does not take into consideration the fact that there might be window(s) that don't need wallpaper and there must be a door and it might not need wall paper

There are four walls:

2 walls have area (9x18) and two have area (9x20).

2*9*18 + 2*9*20 = 18(18+20)
A = 18(38)
A = 684 ft²

Multiply 20(18)(9) = 3240 sq. ft. Now you need to know how much each roll of wallpaper will cover.
