and what do you think about sending out of control kids to military school? he's 13 and it would have to start at 6th grade.
i know trhis isnt the right category but i didnt get any answers in education and befor i get negitave answers this is not for my child so i dont control the dicipline at home

i have looked online but its hard to tell what school will hold up to what it says online ive had friends who were sent to military schools and it did nothing for them thats why i asked if anyone knows if theres any good ones not just were any are

There's Valley Forge Military Academy in Valley Forge (where the movie "Taps" was filmed) and Fork Union Military Academy. West Point and Annapolis are NOT in PA, and are not for middle-school aged kids.
Blair is a private school in NJ - very good, but really snooty.

If you mean like a base military school, they aren't run like the movies. My children go to a "military" school, but it is identical to civilian schools. if you mean for like troubled teens, meaning some kind of disciplinary school. call your local school board and tell them that's what your looking for, they should give you a number to either the nearest school, or the nearest disciplinary education center. But just know sending him there doesn't mean you don't still play a major part in his discipline.

I don't know of any such schools there, but I would say that if the child is out of control, the parents should consider sending him to one. Alot of good can come out of it, hopefully he won't do something so bad that will get him locked up instead.

I don't know of any off the top of my head, but I am all for sending trouble kids to a military school.

There is one called Blair in Northern NJ, not far from the PA border. I don't know if it is still there. A friend of mine was sent there becasue he goofed off in school.
