I attended a professional conference and ran into an old boyfriend. We had dinner, laughed about old times and people we knew. We made out in an alley behind the restaurant. No clothing was removed. Is that cheating? I am not telling my husband but I also don't feel particularly guilty.

If my husband did that with an old girlfriend, I don't know that it is worth ending a marriage over.

hmm, I think you might be feeling a little guilty or you wouldn't be asking. Would it be ok with you if your husband was making out with an ex girlfriend? Probably not. If you're doing something you can't tell your husband or that he wouldn't approve of, when it involves another man,,,,its cheating. You made a vow to love, honor and cherish your husband. Is that what you're doing when you're with your ex boyfriend?

If you don't feel guilty, then why worry about whether or not you cheated on your husband? Clearly it's not an issue for you. So my advice is NOT to let your husband find out, and be smart enough to leave well enough alone with your ex boyfriend! And the next time you're at a "professional conference" to try and act a little more professional.

Well! You do not feel guilty! I guess if your husband was at a conference or anywhere and his old girlfriend was making out with him, you would not consider it cheating. YES it is! It could have lead into more. I am sure it was exciting for you, however this shows no respect for yourself or your husband. Wonder what your old b/f thinks of you now, I mean really thinks of you. I bet he will think you are an easy target and if he can, will try to put it to you!

As you said in you extra comment that its not something to end the marriage over. Obviously it is not, I mean there are different couples who don't break up over cheating, expacially mariage, and may be something that is going on for a long time. However it is cheating, any kind of sexually physical interation considers cheating, if u can't tell about it to your husband, and know that he ll take it fine then it's cheating. At there question is not weather or not lets sasy your husband would do it to you, and the marriage would be broken off, or is it considers cheating, the question is if you husband would do it to u, how would you feel?

What you consider it if you found out your husband did the same thing behind your back?

If you don't feel guilty, then you don't care about your husband. Why stay married and put him through the embarrassment?

You cheating on him and I think he should know.

You lack of control is why the whole "till death do us part" is failing so miserably. Chalk up another cheating divorce for the books. Congratuations...your now a staticstic!

What would you think if your husband had done this with an old girlfriend of his?? You are a cheat, and sorry to say this but your husband deserves to know the truth and make his own decision on wether he can forogive you or not.

Of course you say that if it was the other way around it wouldn't bother you, you are guilty and it is cheating. Put it this way if you are in any way doing something with opposit or same sex that is not your spouse then it is cheating. Let him decide if you are worth keeping around not you. You can't make up his mind for him, that is not fair! Tell him and if it comes to be let him go.

Its not worth ending a relationship over i dont' think! But if it was with an old flame chances are it wasn't just an impulse reaction, there had to be a lil emotion behind it, it wasn't just some skank he found at the bar, so you might need to find out where your at first, but don't end a marriage.

if it was with someone you just met would you then consider it cheating? yes i think so. how would that not be cheating? i guess you are trying to rationlize what you have done. but it's cheating any way you look at it. and if you dont feel bad then something is wrong with you. how would you feel if your husband did that to you? and what if he finds out later? he will think it is much bigger of a deal than if you would have just told him out right. it is weird that you are hiding it from him if you dont consider it cheating and you dont feel bad. if you are feeling both of those things than what is keeping you from telling him? obviously you know you did something wrong
