I used to like wrestling, when I was young enough to Almost believe it was real. Do most fans know or care that it is So Fake? If they know it is fake how can anybody watch that garbage???

Most wrestling fans are deluded fools. The couldn't see the forest for the tree's. With that said, I dont think they care or have any sense of realism in their drab little closed minded lives.

Everyone knows wrestling is fake but that doesn't mean that some people don't find it entertaining. I'm sure you like movies. Do you think that movies are real. When was the last time you saw a Terminator walking down your block.
Entertainment is just that. TV shows are fake and scripted, but we still enjoy them. That's like asking someone why they play video games or watch TV because it's all fantasy. Everyone likes Star Wars and Lord of the Rings and those two franchises are about as far-fetched as it gets. But we enjoy them. It doesn't make sense to say that it's OK for some things to be fake but not others. It's hypocritical.
And to the idiot that says that people that watch wrestling are gay, I bet you enjoy UFC and those guys wear the same things as "wrestlers". Don't make me lift your skirt up you little trick.

fake and scripted are 2 very different things. what they do is sports entertainment. these guys and girls are amazing athletes who know exactly what is going to happen as far as the outcome of the event they are participating in. i've been a fan for 24 years and yes i know all about the scripts. but you still can't "fake" how many times you fall on your back (and the rings aren't soft), nor can you "fake" some of those chair shots.....everyone is allowed an opinion but just remember if you watch any drama on TV you are also watching garbage.

You know, while I was reading this I thought this might actually be an intelligent question. Someone who isn't into wrestling might want to know why us wrestling fans are just that, wrestling fans. To my disappointment, I came across the "garbage" word and just shake my head. Is it soooo damn hard to ask why we like wrestling without making it sound like we're a bunch of morons? To you, it might be garbage, but some of us actually enjoy watching such shows such as WWE Raw, Smackdown, and TNA wrestling. I think NASCAR and Golf are a bunch of garbage, but I don't go out of my way to insultingly ask someone why they watch that "garbage". I save my sanity and energy for watching wrestling.
It's really simple. If you don't like it then don't watch it.

Why do people like watching movies or television? They know it's fake. Why do people attend Globe Trotters games when they know it's fake? Why do people attend plays, or read fictional stories in books. They know it's fake. It's because we respect the work put into scripting and performing the final product. It's because we have respect for people putting their bodies and reputations as human beings on the line for something they love to do. Why do you ask trivial questions that have been asked a thousand times before, and then masque your interest in wrestling, even though you are indeed partaking in reading and posting on a wrestling board? You know it's fake, so once you figure yourself out, get back to us on that one...

actuallt 99.9% of the fans know its fake thats not the point if you watch wrestling to prove its fake your missing the point eevryonme knows it is its entertaiment by that stand point movies and Tv shows are fake as well unless you really believe those people were really stuck on gilligans island? just watch it and enjoy the entertiament if you dont like it turn the channel no one makes you watch it

you may think that wrestling is fake...but... the only thing that is fake however is the story line...another words the people know who is going to go over in the match...but all the injuries...bruises...and blood are real...trust me... when someone gets hit with a chair or some other object they really are getting hit with it...and no the objects are not changed to some weaker substance they are the real deal...trust me...from experience.

Most everyone knows it is fake but watch it because it is like a soap opera. I used to be a fan as a kid but stopped watching a while ago. I have friends who still watch it weekly, they know it is fake but get some laughs and some of the stories they said are interesting.

im a huge wrestling fan and i deff. know its fake. i mean most injuries are real, not all though. like a couple weeks ago john cena got crushed through a table by omaga....and they said his spleen was damaged and a lot of people thought it really was. true wwe fans knew it wasnt.....but then again triple HHH really did tear his quad muscle a couple months ago and we knew that was real. the storylines AND outcomes are fake....(except for the bret hart situation) but injuries do happen. :o)

Fake, It never occurred to me that it was fake. Whatever made you think that? And it's not like I haven't been around awhile, 4 years of College, 3 years of law school, but no one ever hinted to me that wrestling was fake. What's next? You gonna suggest that Roller Derby is fake, or that UFO's aren't from outer space?
