Not necessarily. Sometimes I have a little funky colored discharge right before my period and everything is fine but the first time I was pregnant I had brown discharge and it turned out I had a tubal pregnancy. If you don't start your period in a couple of days take a pregnancy test and don't wait around. When I called my doctor the first thing that tipped her off there was a serious problem was the brown discharge I described to her. She saw me that afternoon.

With my second pregnancy, I had a brown discharge. I thought that it was my period but it lasted for a couple days so I took a pregnancy test. I was pregnant. About a week later I started to bleed like a normal period. I thought that I was miscarrrying. I had tests done and ultrasounds every other day. Finally they found out that I had a bubble of blood that was trapped. Everything turned out find and my baby girl is 1 1/2 now. Good Luck!

That brown discharge is called spotting. It is brown b/c it is "old blood." It could be what is called implantation spotting. Some women experience spotitng or cramping when the egg implants into the endometrial lining. Not everyone has this spotitng or cramping and not everyone who does is pregnant. It is more of a "hindsight" sign.
The only way to know whether or not you are pregnant is to take a test after your period is late.

Just because your having brown discharge doesn't mean your not pregnant no more. Most of the time if your discharge is a different color than what it is you could have a disease. Or there could be something wrong with you. I'd go to the doctor if i was you

Not necessarily. Sounds like it could be implantation bleeding. Wait a few days, and if you don't have a "normal" period, take a test. Hope you get whichever result you are hoping for.
