The internet is definitely one of the great inventions of all times right next to the wheel, the airplane and sliced bread. Everybody can get help and entertainment from the internet. The beauty of the internet is that the concept is so simple, but so useful at the same time. I can go without tv, but I cannot go without the internet.

What really surprises me is that there are actually ppl in the western world who have never surfed the net.

EKU, Hello,

I'm not sure when sliced bread was invented. I think the ability to bead hair is pretty good and value people for that. I may even value that more than the internet, Although I am bald and have no hair to bead. Ummm my answer is or what by the way.

The internet is probably even better than sliced bread was when it came out!

definitely. Saves me time and helps me avoid grannies squeezing bread and blocking up isles in supermarkets, saves me a ton in shopping for clothes, books etc. Entertains me with games and answering questions and is a valuable reference tool - I've learned loads about nursing just from websites and kept my 4 year old busy with educational activities and recipes

i think the internet is good and bad. it's a good source of information you can get things accomplished faster but there is also a lot of bad...you can learn to make bombs, break into peoples accounts, commit fraud easier, there are online predators, and it is making our society a lot more lazy. don't get me wrong i use the internet everyday for work and things like that but there is a down side.

.Why is sliced bread the gold standard?

Isn't it the knife that should get at least some of the accolades.

It's a double edged sword-the bad outweighs the good by a wide margin.

It is. I wish I had it when I was in school. It would have saved a lot of time and effort and resulted in better searches and grades.
