I have a friend who says her eyes change colour when she is hungry, just that I can't test the theory cos I'm not gonna see her for a long time because we are in different Uni. Surely this can't be???

Its possible that the eyes may go lighter or darker.

No, eye colour cannot change with mood or hunger. Eye colour may appear to change because the size of the pupil (the black spot) changes - a larger pupil makes the eye look darker. Changes in the ambient light can also make eye colour appear to change. But the thought that eyes can change colur is romantic nonsense.

Impossible.. eye colour can never possibley change (by itself) after birth.. this is because this type of mutation in the DNA is not possible... and to occur at such rates is not possible...the only thing is that your friend is looking at his eyes in a different light.Tell him to try it out again.

I know that eye color can change with mood, so it is possible for them to change with hunger I guess. I would assume it is associated with low blood sugar, which in some people will cause them to be very pale when their sugar level dips (they need to eat) then when the blood sugar is brought back up they have normal coloration.

yes.it's possible but probably not in such a way as u understand.it cannt be changed from blue to brown for example.it could be variation of one colour.a little bit darker or lighter.everyone has it

its impossible for your friend's eyes to change color when she is hungry... maybe it was just her imagination brought by her hunger.
