He thinks it's a cheesy occasion and wants to skip it altogether. However, it's also the day of my bday and it makes me sad that he doesn't even want to celebrate it. He said he will cook for me on Friday but what I want is to go to a romantic dinner and celebrate. What should I do? I'm feeling so sad because of this.

Not wanting to celebrate V-Day is something that isn't too "traumatic" even though I would be sad too. I suggest celebrating it with friends or go do something on your own. You don't need your boyfriend to stop you from having a good time. I had an ex like that and it was difficult to accept, but I didn't let him steal my joy. If you want to celebrate ~ go right on ahead!!

Now as far as your Birthday goes... he should want to celebrate that day and if he doesn't... my advise is the same. You being born is reason enough to celebrate that day!!

I won't knock him because I don't know him, but don't get discouraged. You do what makes you happy on Wednesday and then see what he does for you on Friday.

He won't want to hear you nag, but knowing that you went out and celebrated how ever you will celebrate will make him realize that your happiness isn't dependent on him. Ohhh... THAT is the best way to show him... don't nag... he will expect that. Prove him wrong. Even if you don't go out ~ don't let him see you sad. Let him wonder...

I truly hope that you have a wonderful Birthday and enjoy Valentine's Day while you are at it. =-)

Have a great day!

WOW...It seems as if he isn't looking out for what you want or like. And it seems kinda cheap of him. But even though he wants to skip it don't mean you have to do. Still buy him something or making him a Valentine dinner. If he questions you about why you done it....Tell him that you wanted to for the fact that you enjoy the holiday. Its your birthday and if you want to celebrate Valentine's Day along with your birthday you should be able to.

Hooray for the boy friend. Valentine was NO SAINT!! He was a sexist womanizer. Why celebrate his birthday?

He doesn't really care about you. I bet in the past of your relationship with him, he had done the same.

tell him it means alot to you... if he still doesnt want to do anything... consider finding a more considerate boyfriend.
