I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. My family is Mexican and has been in CA since it was Alta California, Mexico. They were fortunate enough and were not thrown off their lands like most Mexican farmers and families were. So when my family hears the phrase "they are taking over" it's sickening to see how people really believe that they own the land that was stolen. If anything, Native Americans and Mexicans should be claiming that about you.

No, Native Americans are the only ones who owned this land. It was all stolen from them. But as far as Whites feeling that minorities are taking over I hear that alot, I really don't know why. I guess since so many things aren't "white" anymore, like the standard of beauty( the media seems to be embracing ethnic women more), they are celebrating more ethnic cultures more in America also. So I guess that's the reason some feel that way.

Sorry your country sold your land out from under you. If your family did not want to be Americans instead of Mexicans they should have moved south when Mexico sold the land. So either live with it as an American or get out of the country and back to your own choice of people.

The times they are exchanging just like when our history witnessed the last large immigration movement from Europe, Italy, England and Ireland. Now we are witnessing another large immigration movement this time from Latin American countries as well as Russia and Russia's past satellite countries. We are all minorities in this country even the Caucasians maybe they don’t know that as of yet but numbers don’t lie.
The real change in our status is that we are now classified as a third world country. That status has nothing to do with the immigration movement of the past hundred years. This status has to do with the national debt of the good ole USA.

Native Americans = have a right to complain (about Americans, Mexicans, and Canadians)
Mexicans = have no more right to complain than the other European groups that came out of Portugal, Germany, UK, etc.
I'm white, and I'm not complaining about the fact that the Latin American population in the US exceeds that of any other group. But you still have to recognize the fact that it has happened. I'm no longer the majority. You are. You are the American Majority by population. And I say congratulations.
I intend on moving to Germany within the next 3 years, so the Germans can then complain about me.

i agree with you when you say native americans but this land has never belonged to mexicans. how would you feel if someone broke into your house, then they expected you to speak their language, they steal your job, and you are just expected to deal with it? that doesnt make sense does it? well thats what illegal immigrants are doing. i honestly do not have any problem with mexicans or any other race for that matter, but i do have a problem with illegal immigrants as do most americans.

Out of a sense of empowerment. After centuries of being in control (based on theivery like you said) it's unnerving to ignorant white people that their majority is being threatened.
It's childish, close-minded, and goes against what this country was founded on. Just like everything else nowadays.

Because we are taking over and its been that way for a long time now. I think that white people want to be in control and have all the power and they are losing the power and the control and they dont know what to do.
