Honey you are a lucky lady. Your bf is showing you that his parents are important and that he is sensitive to thier needs and wants. The same applies to you. His sensitivity is what counts here. Go with a general party on St Valentines day then tell him and plan a special night on another day for just you and him when things straighten out.

Send her to bed early then celebrate valentines day. I would kill my husband if he invited my mother-in-law.

Or celebrate it another day as it is not particularly romantic when every couple is all loved up and eating out at the same time.

Have LOTS of wine so she gets tired. Act like you're going to bed and stay up to have some alone time with him.

No matter what, if his mom is there, then forget about romance. Your only choice is to go to your place after dinner. Plan something there.

you ruined it. you invited his mother over? you might as well have taken a bucket of cold water and dumped it in his lap.

just tell him that you'll celebrate another time.
