I am new at this and teaching myself, so sometimes I feel really dumb, but I'm not, I never touched a computer before, except at work, and I didn't have to know how things worked then ( 1990) I am having trouble retrieving some messages, and alot of attachments lately. Can anyone help me with this so I don't have to search for a 'tutorial' I might not understand anyway. I guess I want to take a shortcut. I use at&t , microsoft windows 98,(Outlook express) And would really appreciate some assistance from a compter-savvy person out there!

Open Outlook Express, click on Tools, choose Options. A window will appear, click on the security tab, and uncheck every block, this will allow attachments and images to be displayed. Microsoft plumbed this in to save you from getting a nasty virus hidden as an attachment/picture, etc. However, you can download a great free anti virus program called AVG, which has an email scanner to pick up on the nasty stuff. Option two, you can get a web based email account (Yahoo Mail), which is better cause you can access you stuff from work, home, or anyone's computer in the world. Chow
