I've been in a 3yr. relationship, and I have moments where I don't want to be in it anymore. I still love the guy, but how do I know if I want out of the relationship, or if I'm just having a "moment".

How often do you feel you don't want to be in the relationship anymore? If you think of your future and picture this person not being in it, how do you feel?

Give yourself some time. If these "moments" are occuring frequently then perhaps this relationship has run its course (and that's okay). But don't be premature and throw in the towel when maybe you're just having hormone fluctuations or other issues in your life are causing you to feel differently about your relationship.

Make SURE of how you feel before you make any changes and even if you do pretty much think it may be over, talk to him about it...perhaps the two of you can put some spark back into things or get back to a "good place".

Otherwise, if it's really time to move on then move on...it's better to end things and allow you both to have the opportunity to meet others who may love you in return than to stick with someone whom you just don't feel that spark for anymore.

In the past when I've had those feelings about a relationship, it was just an early warning that eventually I would leave. If you're at the point that everything they do bothers you- you should really think about moving on before it gets too ugly.
If it's just a fleeting moment of you thinking you're missing out on something else, but you really love your man. Then talk to him about the thoughts you are having and why that might be.

Its hard to tell if you are just having a "moment" or if you truely dont want to be in it anymore. The best advice that I can give you is to follow your heart, and do what you beleive, but if its only been 3yrs and you are starting to have these feelings than he is probably not someone that you should consider having as a life long partner. Youll know when you met the right one.

A moment is needing to get out the house for a couple of hours, taking a weekend trip without him, going to visit your family or friend for the day or treating yourself out. It's not a moment when you think about it regularly or you keep getting tired of the same thing. Love is not not wanting to look at someone or not wanting to be there. And how can he possibly make you happy when you're not happy yourself. He can sense your resentment and he's probably unhappy too. Talk it out or work it out!

Does the sound of his voice irritate you?

Does making love sound like a chore. Are you just glad to get it over with?

Do you do things to purposely avoid spending time with him.

When you are with him, do you get the feeling that you wish he would leave?

Are his stories so redundant they put the dog to sleep?

Is he starting to get on your nerves more frequently?

Are there times when you would rather watch re-runs on TV than spend time with him?

Do you find it difficult to hold up your end of the conversation?

Do you get a sinking feeling in the pit of your stomach when you look at your caller i.d. and its him again?

These are some of the signs its time to move on.

The other side of the coin is, relationships have up and down cycles. You may just be in a down cycle right now. Good luck.

i really don't know what you're going through. And i don't know how old you are.But........i've had my eyes on a guy for a long time. and i still cant make up my mind if i like him or not.But it seems to me that you just to need to follow your heart. If you've been going tout for 3 years then ya'll must be in love. But if you're not for sure just tell him that you need a brake for a little while and pray then just go from there. I guess it's easier said than done. i hope this will help! bye!

What is it that you're looking for? Is he nice? Does he treat you well? Does he respect you? Is he dependable? If all these are a "yes", then maybe you have to start assessing yourself. Talk to him and tell him how you feel. Openly communicating your feelings (remember, he's involved too) can strenghten a relationship. Good Luck!

The feelings you have are your feelings and may have nothing to do with him. You say you still love him. You may be experiencing something else in your life that makes you unsure of what you want.and that feeling is carrying over to your relationship with him.
If you are not happy within yourself, you cannot be happy with him. look deep into yourself and find out what really is bothering you. good luck.
