In Missouri, the Preliminary Hearing issues or denies a formal finding of Probable Cause for the state. It answers the question "Is there enough evidence to proceed with the case and a trial?"

The answer "C" above would refer to the arraignment, which is a seperate hearing in Missouri.

You should stop copying those questions from the book. The laws are different in every state and your definitions do not match anything in Arizona.
