The Court Jester (1956)

Hawkins: I've got it! I've got it!

"The pellet with the poison's in the vessel with the pestle; the chalice from the palace has the brew that is true! "

Griselda: Right. But there's been a change: they broke the chalice from the palace!
Hawkins: They broke the chalice from the palace?
Griselda: And replaced it with a flagon.
Hawkins: A flagon...?
Griselda: With the figure of a dragon.
Hawkins: Flagon with a dragon.
Griselda: Right.
Hawkins: But did you put the pellet with the poison in the vessel with the pestle?
Griselda: No!!! The pellet with the poison's in the flagon with the dragon! The vessel with the pestle has the brew that is true!
Hawkins: The pellet with the poison's in the flagon with the dragon; the vessel with the pestle has the brew that is true.
Griselda: Just remember that.

Now I won't be able to get rid of that from my head for a day or two. Apparently there's a wav file of that saying. Follow the link.

I agree, Court Jester, I also remember the rhyme, the Vestle with the pestle etc, wish i could remember the rest of it. If you liked that film check out, A Connecticult Yankee in Camelot. Bing Crosby is from 1940's USA and ends up bback in time helping King Arthur fight off the evil Morgana, it is quite amusing.

That was Court Jester, 1956 and my favourite film as a child.
Another rhyme was 'the pellet with the poison is in the vessel with the pestle' which has stayed with me fifty years.......
