I cherish all of my childhood. The whole lot.....I can't pick a favourite memory ,just all of my childhhood was brilliant....My Mum and Dad have gone now but i'd give anything to have them back.....I have a lot of old cine films which is the nearest thing to seeing them again....They both died in their 60s within 6 months of each other and both from cancer....They gave me and my 3 brothers a perfect childhood...

I was about 3 and lived in a big house with my mum, my grandparents, my 2 uncles and 2 dogs. I remember Christmas day with what seemed to be a HUGE tree at the time, all of us having a wonderful day, then being carried to bed by one of my uncles after being spoilt rotten! I felt so loved back then...

I had a pet toad named JellyBean... He really wasnt mine but he lived in the woods and he would actually play with me and each year he would come back! I loved my Jelly Bean! :0)
One day I laid down in the sandbox and couldnt find Jellybean but I could hear the ribbit/croaking sound... I finally lifted my head and I was laying on him! I cant believe that toad put up with so much! What an angel!

Going "up north" (in Michigan) to a cabin in the woods on a river with one set of grandparents and my family and going to a small private lake in Indiana where the other set of grandparents had a cottage. Those were some great times!

Most of my favorite memories are very faded.
I remember being really muddy at my uncle's farm and having to ride home in the back of the pick up because my cousins, brother, and I were such a mess.
I remember forts of hay, snow, and sheets at various times in my childhood too.

Along with stone, mud and animal parts, wood was one of the first materials worked by early humans. Microwear analysis of the Mousterian stone tools used by the Neanderthals show that many were used to work wood. The development of civilization was closely tied to the development of increasingly greater degrees of skill in working these materials.

I remember really hot summers, when I went blackberry picking, or picking bluebells for my mum. We used to spend hours building dens in the woods(it was safer to go out on our own then). I just remember a really free and easy time.

Making cookies with my mom, my brother letting me sit on his lap while he drove. I was 3, he was 17. My hamster, Daisey. My sringer spaniel waiting for me outside of the arcade where I played Pac-Man, Frogger, Centipede, and Pole Position, my sisters taking me shopping, playing in the back yard with my best friend, who lived next door. My dad taking me fishing, showing me how to clean fish, taking me to the VFW and getting SlimJims from the vending machine. Winning spelling bees, making paper birds with my Origami kit, practicing my flute, having birthday parties with little girls in sleeping bags on the living room floor, my nieces and nephews being born, getting to babysit them when I was old enough.

I remember getting the George Best bubble gum card. No one else in our class had it. It was all David Sadler and Rodney Marsh!

One day when I was in year 1, I saw a duck outside our classroom. No one believed me at the time and that's why I've never forgotten it.
