In actuality, there are known to be four. Carbon, Hydrogen, Oxygen, and surprisingly, Nitrogen. This is important for stuff like plant life, among a whole bunch of other things. These elements are in large proportion of the elements found on earth (as in, they are the most common element on earth.)
