The Periodic Table is a table which lists all of the known atomic elements in the universe. They are ordered in atomic number (by the number of protons each one has). They also include its atomic weight, and can also contain other information about the elements.
Many general trends can be found in the table, things like electronegativity, and atomic radius have similar trends.

The strange look of the table (ie the different number of columns in each row) are set up in the way that the electrons fill the shells in order). The bottom two rows actually belong in the middle, but it would stretch out the table to 32 across instead of 18 across.

There is a ton of data that can be found from the table, but I hope that this helps

The Perodic Table lists all of the elements in atiomic order by the number of electrons that it has. It reads from left to right, or by columns if you want to look at families like the halogen family. I know, that is pretty bad for a chemistry major...=-\
