She is not allergic to her formula (same she has been on since I could no longer breast feed), nor is she allergic to any solids I've fed her. I know you're supposed to wait until they are at least 12 months old, but she seems to have lost her taste for formula and loves to drink from a cup(water). Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts?

It is best to wait until 12 months. She will drink it when she is thirsty trust me.

Cows milk is a HUGE transition from formula and many babies have a hard time with it. Alot of babies need to start off with half formula half cows milk. Perhaps you can start doing that?

Clearly she is speaking about the babies age not the cows milk. Come on now

I gave my kid cow's milk at 10 months old she was and is fine, Just make sure that you are giving her vitamins as well. The vitamins is the purpose of the formula. As long as she is not allergic she will be fine. But the only way to find out is to let her try it out a little a time you can even do half milk and half formula at first.

It would be ok since she is almost to that age already just don't give her too much at a time. Watch to make sure she doesn't have any allergic reactions. Formula is a little bit different than milk, but from the way it sounds she should be alright. You can go ahead and ask the doctor to see if there is anything that he would reccomend. I would especially warm up the milk and give it to her that way....they love that. But be sure to pat her back and rub her tummy, to help with the milk air bubbles.

Yes! In some european countries babies are started on yogurt at 7 mos.,and cow´s milk at 10 mos. Other than allergies, you just need to watch their iron intake, because only 10% of cow´s milk is in an absorbable form. I think vit. c helps with that too.And use whole milk. I´m assuming she doesn´t like formula from her cup, and that you have already tried changing brands ?

It's not ideal, but you can start weaning her now. Don't jump from one to the other unless you like changing diarrhea diapers.

Start at 3 parts formula to one part milk. Once she tolerates that, increase the milk and decrease the formula.

I do not see it being a problem!! My daughter quit drinking her formula at the age of 4 months!! All she did was throw it up! She would not drink it at all and I was not going to force her, so I decided to give her 2% and she loves it!! She is 8 months now and I have had no problems with her ever since!!

ok I guess you mean the child is 11 months old, not the milk. go ahead, just don't give her too much at once. my brother was drinking regular milk when he was 9 or 10 months old.

I would call her pediatrician first, just to consult with them. They say that you may start cow's milk at 12 months. I wouldn't want to make a big change like that without consulting with my child's pediatrician first.
