native fish?

what kind of wild native fish can i get for my 55 gallon tank? what kind of tank setup, ph, food, any more info? i live in springfield, illinois

I would suggest you contact The Central Illinois Aquarists, it's a fish club in Pekin so not too far from you. Odds are really good they have someone that keeps native fish and would be happy to help you with all the details from collecting to keeping.
