I recently came across some sites doing some research for detoxing the body. They are pads you attach to your foor while sleeping. They supposedly draw out toxins in your body thru the feet while you sleep... has anyone tried this? does it work? i did not find too many things saying that they were a scam...???

I bought some of those pads. At the end of the recommended time I took the pads off and yes they were almost black each time I used them. The pads were a light brown color before applying them to the bottom of my feet. Unfortunately the only way you can tell of they work is to try it for yourself.

no they do not. they are psychologically effective in a sense that they give you the feeling when you wake up like maybe something happened, but for starters, your feet are not the best place to attach anything of that nature... think about it. you're constantly walking on them so you're naturally going to want them to be tough. their toughness means thicker skin and less pores. if you were to buy into anything of that nature, you'd want to use perhaps a facial detox, but the truth is, you really can't detox. your body does it for you. the best thing... drink a lot of water, pee a lot, sweat (but not excessively), take vitamins, but truth is, it's just a natural course. a few of the foot detox companies have scams built into their systems whether or not the actual product works. for instance, they'll have a trial for 9.99 but the shipping is a "promise to comply for an additional month" with bizarre charges like $89.99 for automatic shipping services. you'll find yourself broke and disappointed all around. trust me. just eat healthy, drink a lot of water, and get some exercise and i assure you you'll wake up better off than you would with some sticky feet...
