There are several ways, as follows:
First, make sure that the movies in original place were not bad themselves.
Then check the USB points for any dust etc. -- maybe it's time for a cleanup.
Try to copy the movies back to the hard disk from the pen drive.
If that fails, back up all other data and then format the drive. (I do that with any drive problems all the time. It works.)

It is most likely a faulty pen drive.
try this:
Delete what you have in the pen drive, then transfer some conventional music files, picture files and documents in to it. See if you can retrieve them properly. If you get problems, then the pen drive is busted.
If you can, then try transferring the movies again.

you will have to change the default file system used when formatting the pen drive, as they are usually set to FAT32 which is limited by a 4GB max filesize. just reformat your pen drive and use NTFS, goto my computer, then right click on your pen drive. click on FORMAT, under filesystem select NTFS then click on START... after the format completes try copying the file to the pen drive.

Thumbdrives are too slow, for playing music directly from it.
