He's been sleeping on his back at the top of his bowl since Saturday afternoon. He doesn't even go near his food.

I'm sorry to tell you this, but he is dead. He cannot wake up. That is, he is dead if his gills are no longer moving and when you lift him out of the water he does not move or struggle. If you want to be completely sure wait a week and you will know by the smell. If he moves, then he is not dead but has a crazy swim bladder problem. Then you need to try your best to feed him shelled peas until it goes away but if he's been floating for days there is probably no chance for him.

All you have to do is add and aeration system so that way it can help him with movement, also place it by a window (during the day) that way you can see wether its awake or not. You might wanna try adding some brine shrimp pellets into the diet aswell. Your pet fishy cannot be dead please ignore these people, you must care for your little goldy as much as you can. I suggest if you have it in a bowl taking it out and start digging a whole in your back or front yard put some pond lining in it get a good pump and aeration system add water a day later add your lil goldy and then add some koi and others to enjoy the party.

Congratulations, you killed a living creature that can feel pain and does learn to recognize its caregivers and has a memory span longer then 3 seconds. All because you and your family was too stupid to research what the fish needed to live.

you can wake him up by flushing him down the toilet...you wont see him wake up but he'll be in fish heavin in the ocean
