I mean, I have my girlfriend, I love her and stuff, but I don't consider St. Valentines day, a day to celebrate in which somebody actually died decapitated (Valentin) to celebrate it in a loving way and spend your money desperately one day out for nothing?? Love should be celebrated everyday... Do you agree with me? Why?

All holidays are commercial crap.

Christ was not born on Dec 25 of the year one. That is the main day of Saturnalia, a Roman holiday in which no crime was punished. IOW, if you rape and kill a young girl on Dec 25, no punishmenr- no problem.

Easter is the celebration of the Roman goddess of fertility, Ishtar..

Sunday is not the Sabbath. Saturday is. No, I am not seventh day adventist. Just a realist.

I, also, don't believe in the tooth fairy.

"Christians" teach their kids God, Santa Claus, and the Easter bunny. Then the kids learn their parents lied about Santa and the Rabbit. Where does that leave God? No wonder our society is plunging into Godlessness.

I do agree. It's turned into a way for stores to increase their revenue by selling flowers, candy, teddy bears, cards, etc.

However, I am torn. Getting and giving some flowers or candy now and then, no matter which day it is, is really nice.
