What have been the drawbacks of sending troops to Iraq?

I am doing an reasearch essay on this. And i need help figuring out a better statement for this and i need your opinions on the drawbacks.

We have started a war in a sovereign (previously) country. We have re-opened long-standing hatred of Americans in the Middle East by confirming their fears that we are a bullying, money hungry country who think we have the right to send our troops anywhere just because we said so, in spite of being ignorant of important local issues.
We have spent over 200 billion dollars, while our teachers are underpaid and park services are cut.
We have created a generation of traumatized Iraqi children, who have witnessed bloodshed and violence beyond description, and are now with homes or job prospects and have lost many family members.
Remember- we didn't just send troops to Iraq, we started a war there and overthrew the leader of a sovereign country. These actions have been deemed illegal by the United Nations. Imagine if Iraq had sent troops to the United States to overthrow Bush because he is a threat to global security....now you can see it from the other side, how ludicrous it is.
Saddam was not perfect, I am not saying that. But what about China, Pakistan, Russia, El Salvador, North Korea....many other countries where there are human rights abuses, or nuclear threat, or dictators. We trade with many of these countries!
