ROFL...I think u are supposed to realize that there are no good reasons. But I'll give you a boat load anyway...
- its predictable
- bills are paid
- stay close to kids, family, friends of the unloveable one
- fear of change
- fear of the unknown
- longing for the good old days
- belief things will change, especially if there are moments of happiness which reinforce the idea that its SOOOO close to perfection
- religion
- busyness with career/health/community service/projects
- its n ice to have noise in the house
- silence is a little scarey
- dont trust myself to be okay (like who will call 911 if I am on the floor?)
- a promise
- belief that maybe I am the problem and I need to change to make him happy
- no guarantees that leaving is better...and this is tolerable even pleasant (I can do what I want)
- safety in numbers
- its like old shoes....just hard to let them go and never see them again
--he's not expecting anything from me, I'm not letting anyone down
--who wants half of their stuff???
--attorneys are expensive
--lots of relationships are worse
---have never met a married couple I would want to be like so I keep mine
--he behaves on the holidays and thats nice
- i dont have to focus on me
- what else would I complain about?
want me to keep going???
how about we are human...we are wired for togetherness.....

1. Routine (your used to the daily monotonies of being with the person).

2. Fear (you don't want to be alone during the time when you're trying to find a new person).

3. Habit (it has become such a habit being with this person. Everything you do has something to do with the other person, and it makes you feel weird/scared of changing your habit).
