Get some boric acid powder from the hardware store. It is less toxic to us than table salt. Mix about 1/2 teaspoon onto a tablespoon of jelly. Put the jelly mixture in small containers, like soda bottle lids, and put them out where you see the ants. Let the ants eat all they want. All you are seeing are the workers. Ants share their food. So they will take it home and share with the rest. Boric acid is Highly toxic to insects. It will kill them if they eat it. If they don't like the jelly, try another flavor, or peanut butter. Ants also feed on proteins.

Terro is an inexpensive boric-acid based bait which works very welll , simply place a large drop on the card and put it near the line of ants , watch as ONE ant goes and finds it then marks the trail , soon the ants will start going to the drop and taking back to the nest where it will kill them. its a pretty gentle solution but I wouldnt go and feed it to your pets and children :) . If the ants take all of it make sure to put more there , in most cases they will be there for a day ro so and you will never see them for a long time.

boric acid. Not toxic to pets or people. If the pet sniffs it or even licks it nothing will happen. Children wont get poisoned or anything from it either. Even if they ingest it. Takes lots, like maybe a pound or something, to get you sick. Just make a line of it and the ants will stop. Takes a while but it does work. It's super cheap too. You can get big bottles of it near the pesticides.

take 3 1/2 oz of strawberry jam
1 1/2 tbs of wet, canned cat food
1 tablespoon of boric acid

mix together well in a small bowl
using gloves make small balls of the mixture and leave them laying around under the sink or anywhere you see them. keep the kids away from it though. you can make the balls small enough to not attract their attention. the ants will take the balls back to their queens and it will kill them.

get some clear waterproof caulk and caulk around the sink fill every crack you see. They're getting in from somewhere most likely from the hole around the water pipe from the sink caulk around that too. they're aggravating and they do find a way into your sugar canister. Or anyother canister you have . make sure you caulk everything they are the most aggravating little pests, and extremely persistant.

Try putting dowmdry instant grits. They carry them back to the nest and when they eat them the grits expand and kills the ants.
