2 days before and the day of were good days to have sex. Sperm lives up to 5-7 days, 2-3 being much more typical. The sperm were waiting on the egg when it was released, which is perfect. The sex 2 days after probably didn't do much b/c the egg dies 12-36 hours after it is released (if it isn't fertilized). The day before ovulation has the highest rate of pregnancy but 2 days before is right up there as well. Good Luck!

how did you know you were ovulating? if you used an accurate method of detecting ovulation, such as an ovulation predictor kit or Taking Charge Of Your Fertility, then yes, you have a good chance of conceiving this month. If you used a calendar to guess when you were ovulating, you could be way off. Best to wait 14 days after your ovulating to take a pregnancy test or until you miss your period. Good luck!

If you are sure you were ovulating then yes there is a good chance. But what I realized when I was trying(as I am 33 weeks pregnant now) is that if it is your time to get pregnant then you will. As soon as you stop trying so hard and stressing over it, it happens. Good luck

It is always a possibility. My friend had been ttc for 3 years and nothing hapened. Well guess what? She went to the doc 3 wks ago and she was pregnant. She counted back and come to find out, her charts show that she conceived 4 days before her scheduled ovulating dates. Good Luck!

You are most fertile during the three days prior to ovulation... so yes. Your timing was good. And some people would say going every other day increases your chances because it allows his swimmers to build.

I think you have a hard two weeks of waiting in front of you. You did what it takes, now you just have to wait. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. From what I have read, even a healthy couple can take 6 months of dong it right before they get pregnant. Having said that, it worked on the first try for us, so maybe it will for you too.
