The rebuplicans have had control of the senate, house, and presidency for the past 6 years BUT the did NOTHING absolutely NOTHING to stop, control, or slowdown illegal immigration. WHY?

IF illegal immigration was solved, gay marriage was completely banned, and abortion was made illegal, then they would have nothing to get votes. No one would vote for them because those are the key issues that get them elected. They want certain issues to always be around just so they can stir up interest and support for them as candidates.

That is a very good question. Im Republican. The Reps had both houses of Congress and the Pres, and wasted it. They could have stopped it, but did not do it because of being politically correct. They could have easily taken out birth control abortion with all the scientific support that took away its legitimacy. They could have smashed corruption, at least on the republican side, bu handling the Foley case properly. They could have easily pointed out Senators like Kerry and Kennedy as political fools, who truly do not have America's interest in mind. But, they didnt, and America voted Democrat in hopes of reform.

Why doesn't *either* party try to clamp down on illegals? They're too worried about offending the Latino vote. It's pathetic - our safety and security are being traded for votes.

As long as businesses require cheap labor, there will be illegal immegration. Now that the minimum raise has been raised, most small businesses will have to risk hiring them for the cheap wages they work for or outsource oversea's.
