It is one of workers comps doctors. The doc you see may not even specialize in what your injury is. I would advise you to take someone with you and if possible take a tape recorder with you. I went with my friend to hers and the docs report was nothing but lies. She has severe back problems and is no on disability but the workers comp doc wrote in his report that she could bend over and touch her toes, that she was morbidly obese and that she was fit to go to work when in fact none of those were true. I had to drive her to the appointment and carry her x-rays as she was not even able to do those simple things. What they are trying to do is to get you off workmans comp if they can so they don't have to pay you. It is designed to weed out the fake injury cases but they do end up messing with some real cases like my girlfriend. She has a lawyer by the way and is taking them to court over being cut off from workers comp benefits etc.

They just want to cover their rear. I woudl nto worry much, especially if they already denied surgery. The only thing that can come out of it is they change their mind and you get surgery.

its an independant doctor that can say whether you need surgury or not. nothing to worry about as it will be the insurance company that have requested it. if you do needit then youl get it
