Several reasons

1. Run out of Energy - ATP
2. Pathway Regulation- your metabolic pathways can be regulated - for example if a large quantity of a product is produced certain enzymes can be inhibited so this part of the pathway is temporarily inhibited
3. Run out of Oxygen, H20 other resources - inputs

Usually not-
RUN out of Enzymes
unless there is a genetic defect that a person cannot produce a certain enzyme or protein.
If a person has the genetic capability to produce an enzyme it will be produced as needed and will not run out

A chemical reaction is the interaction of two or more reactants. When, during a reaction, either of the reactants are almost used up, or their active sites(in case of enzymes and substrates) are saturated, the reaction starts to slow down.

there are external and internal factors on this one. external factors are changing reaction conditions, or adding something that quenches the reaction. internal factors are running out of reactants, and shifting equilibrium.
