Why should they risk their lives and die at the hands of criminals and arsonists? By having police on the streets, are we emboldening criminals? Should we make nice with criminals and maybe they will leave us alone? Is there a Cindy Sheehan-like group of moms I can join to protest the police force and bring our sons and daughters off the force? My nephew is a cop and I don't want him to be killed. I support policemen but I don't support what they're doing because they are provoking criminals.

Please read twice and absorb the rhetoric...

Those who support the police and fire fighters should make their children join and do that job.

Are they too good for it?

1. All immigration? Well, unless you can train up some doctors and teachers PDQ, that's health and education stuffed then. 2. France hasn't banned the Burka. There is a recommendation that it be prohibited in schools, hospitals, government offices and public transportation. I'm all for faces being shown where there are security issue, but do you really want a government to decide what you can and can't wear? Or is that just for Muslims? 3. Many people agree - how do we sort out the Al Qaeda training camps there? 4. And where are all these people with the skills to do their jobs, when you've sacked them all. 5. If you're sacking GPs, see no 1. How many '"don't do anything"? 6. I hope you can afford adequate medical insurance - it isn't cheap. Most people in this country value a health service which is free at the point of use. 7. I think you over-estimate what DNA evidence can achieve. They still execute innocent people in USA, and where's the evidence that corporal punishment does anyone any good? 8. So forcing cafe / pub workers to work in an environment where they have to breathe carcinogens? The smoking ban isn't about restricting your fun, it's about ensuring a safe working environment. 9. Why? So the already rich can get richer? It's already at £600000. The only people who will benefit are those inheriting estates valued at more than six hundred thousand pounds. If you abolish inheritance tax, the shortfall will have to be made up by taxing the living instead of the dead. As a living person, I'm against that. 10. Absolutely. But as you're cutting all these taxes, how do we pay for it? 11. I take it you mean the EU. i think it would be disastrous for our economy, others think differently. You may be right, and I may be wrong. 12. Unless they interfere with us, by allowing terrorist groups to train for attacks on us? 13. They tend to have guns when they need them, and that seems to work. The police themselves don't want them as a matter of course. That's good enough for me. 14. Let's make the legislation just human rights, not privileges. 15. How? And are you willing to pay more to fund the higher costs of UK call centres? 16. No. None of these organisations want conscripts. Our forces are as efficient as they are because they are well trained volunteers. 17. And how do they tell who can and who can't at the start of a loan period. 18 & 19. Aren't these contradictory? Bring privatised housing into state control so it can be sold back into private hands??? 20. Couldn't we just create proper jobs in the first place and make the dole a safety net, not a lifestyle choice? 21. Now you're just getting silly. We don't hang anyone, certainly not for being useless politicians. there wouldn't be the wood to build enough scaffolds. Any who have committed criminal acts should answer for them. 22. How would you do that? And the Japanese answer would be? Stuff you, don't sell our electrical goods then. Protectionism never works. It just creates grey and black markets. 23. I don't believe we ever stopped. Splendid lamb chops! 24. Not an awful idea - but how to pay for it. I'm not sure I saw much racist there, but I'm proud of belonging to a nation who will give safe haven to people whose own countries do not have the freedoms we have. I hope I haven'rt been rude or offensive, but the strong language wasn't necessary.

If the U.S. police and firemen were invading Canada and Mexico looking for people to arrest and fires to put out, yeah, I'd say you might have a case. Just because someone's been given a gun by the government doesn't mean that it's ok to go use it wherever and whenever a few people think it would be a good idea. Being proactive can be a good thing, there just needs to be a start-to-finish plan and an ability to complete that plan. Running around, hooting and hollering, shooting up a country and killing people is not a plan.

Thanks for the good laugh.

Hey! Those arsonists & Criminals are only doing the Fires & crimes that Americans won't do!

Ban Firefighters & Police Now!
It's "For the Children!"

"Pull back and nuke it from orbit...it's the only way to be sure."

(Disclaimer for those too ignorant to "Get it")
We are just pointing out the absolute stupidity of the "PEACE! no matter the cost" types. Also known as "Those in favor of American defeat, at any cost!"

I read it twice and tried to absorb the rhetoric and I think you are either joking or if you aren't you've got some issues. I don't think pulling them off of the force and "making nice with criminals" is the answer. If you want to go make nice with them, go ahead. You are seriously misguided if you think that would change anything. Good luck to you.

Yes, Pull them all off the force just before I break into your house, steal all your stuff and burn your house to the ground. I for one don't want to live without the people out there to try to protect me and mine. GOD BLESS EVERY LAST ONE OF THEM!!

I didn't have to, the rhetoric (sarcasm) should be obvious to the most casual observer.
