I am creating a space script that eventually will be turned into a movie. It will have the undertone of Event Horizon and a lot of the adventure of Aliens and Halo. The main character will be a Black weel built man of Military standing. His choice of weapon is a pulse cannon. We are used to black men within the military in movies with cigars, thick accents and a gruff mannerism. Those cliches will not be present in my character. However I need character development do you like the initial outlines of my character and what else do you think I need to add? For example in Aliens Ripley is women against female Alien. Battle of two bitches. What undertones can I have for my character named BC

Maybe not american military standing baybe some other nationality maybe english, german, french, or canadian, the problem is an american military officer just seems a bit too much like Jack O'Neil, heres a good idea introduce him as a typical redshirt kind of character yet to everyone's suprise he's th one that survives that would be a nice twist hey the redshirts have to win every so often as well

MAybe a hispanish women, wich always been consided and never been a superwomen or a strong women, that she was dedicated just to looks, and then go from there to developed her strength, like from something tha happend and made her strong or some bio something that changed her...
