Is this a mid life crisis?

My husband is 49 yrs old and is a recovering alcaholic/pot user he has been clean for more that 3yrs now, over the last year or so I have noticed some strange things, ie joinging chatrooms for people looking to hook up sexually, recently he has been chatting iwith a women online who only lives about 1hrs away, yesterday she sent him a very personal e-mail card thanking him for his wonerfreindship, she signed it with about 10 kisses. I confronted him but he said there was nothing to worry about she was someone he met online in passing and did not expect card like that, he did msn messager her telling her not to contact him again, but was that because I stood beside him and told him to do so??? what shoul I think

Sounds he's looking for trouble. If you were he likes to chat go to friends house make up a cute user name and try to strike up an inappropriate conversation with him. Then you can see how far he is willing to take it.

Sounds like switching one addiction for another. And certainly mid-life crisis comes into play.
People believe that on-line relationships are OK b/c there is no physical contact. Nonetheless it is a violation of trust for you.
Tell him how you feel & request that he stop. I do not believe anything good can come of this activity.

I went thru this with my ex husband and in 6 months we were divorced.They say its nothing but it very well may turn out to be something else. Get him in counseling (or both) and tell him this behaviour stops our your marriage does. That is so disrespectful to you.You have already given a lot .

keep your eye on him he sounds like he only told her that because you were standing right there . get the woman's email and tell her he is married and you and he did not appreciate that little cutesy note . I would be very upset with him if i were u. You have every right to be upset with him also . just watch him very carefully . good luck .
