I am a student at Palmer college of Chiropractic and I work with a lot of chiropractors around the area and I have seen a great many patients find relief from allergies with proper care, especially young children. Chiropractic has been shown to improve immune function, improve pulmonary function, and help with child development. If your son has subluxations in his spine these subluxation can cause biomechanical disfunction, neurological disfunction, and increased susceptibility to sickness and disease. With correction of these subluxations your son’s body will be able to function better and properly handle the allergens causing his allergies. The allergens trigger an over activation of the immune response in susceptible individuals mediated by IgE antibodies released by immune cells. Basically the body over reacts to certain antigens and increased inflammation and the symptoms of allergies are presented.
The use of antibiotics dramatically increases the risk of childhood asthma and allergies and should not be used unless absolutely necessary. Chiropractic can improve immune function so the use of antibiotics may not be needed. Also inhaled and intranasal corticosteroids used for allergy and asthma must have labels warning that the drugs can stunt growth and development in children. This can be very devastating to a child, as it will lead to increase amounts of health problems as the child ages.
Chiropractic offers a chance for your son to develop a natural life long resistance to his allergies without the risks involved with medication treatment.
I have seen children with severe allergies, on several medications, that kept them from enjoying life and doing the things that other children could do. After chiropractic care to correct the subluxation in their spine they no longer needed medication as a crutch for the rest of their life but rather their bodies were able to function properly, develop strong immune systems, and these children were then able to enjoy life the way god intended for them.
Chiropractors are not just back pain doctors, many chiropractors focus on the bodies nervous system and keeping that functioning at its best. The nervous system controls everything within the body and if a person has problems in the spine it interferes with the way the body is able to function. Chiropractic is not a cure for anything though it only removes the stress on the spinal cord and nervous system so that the body can function better and then in your son’s case his body may be able to deal with the allergens and hopefully no longer need the allergies medicines.
I am just trying to suggest that you support you son’s own natural immune system and try chiropractic before you use and invasive medicine that may stunt his growth or harm his body.

RE:
Has anyone sucessfully used a chiropractor to improve allergy conditions?
I just found out that my son has multiple allergies. I read that chiropractors could help but I was hoping to hear from someone who had success.

I've used chiropractics to cure an most bad stomach ache so I know for a fact it can do that but allergies is another thing all together. Nerves for the nasal ways do come from the spine and if those nerves were pinched, they could have an effect on your breathing through your nose.
I'm just guessing but it sound like a good possibility. You should call a Chiropractor and find out for sure. They are great for many things. One of the set my broken ankle once, they're not just spine doctors.

My grandma swears that the chiropractor helped relive her sinus problems. I haven't tried it yet but have considered it since my sinuses are so bad. She said they applied pressure and such to her face. I had a chiropractor tell me that you need to go to correct the spinal issues because it causes all sorts of health problems, he said I could really use it since my spine is a bit curved but I haven't gone. That was just a free consult.

in canada the chiropractors were ordered not to suggest that they can help with asthma or allergies. as there is no proof it works and plenty of proof it does not work . so dont waste your money .
you son should either get the allergy shots or if needed take an allergy pill and or the inhalhed allergy prescrition medications.
dont bother with the chiroprator when it comes to anything other then some lower back problems . this is the only thing that they have proof they can help with .

No but I have used an accupunturist with good sucess. A good chinese accupunctuist will also be an herbalist which is an added bonus. The stuff they give you usually tastes terrible but works. Also, try large doses of vitimin c. That works.
