For some reason, I want to get married really early...like in my young teens...like around the age of 14. I don't know why, but I do. Whenever I write stories, it is always about a girl who runs away from an abusive dad and gets married to this guy she met and she is only 13...or it takes place like 150 years ago and this girl gets married to this guy and she is 13 and he is like, 21 or something. Why do I want to? I mean...I am 13 and I know I am still halfway a kid. But sometimes I think, "I wish I were married and had a family of my own." And I know all of you are going to say, "This girl must be crazy! Marriage isn't easy at all!" Well, I know it isn't. What can I do to fix this?

There is nothing wrong with feeling that way I don't think. I espeically think that this is the case with a lot of children that come from either abusive homes or ones where not a lot of love is shown, or one where the child was forced somehow to grow up quickly.

You realize how young you are, and you realize it's not a walk in the park (marriage), which is good. I don't know that this situation can be "solved". You just need to learn to be happy with who you are and the place that you are in emotionally and physically.

Have fun and "escape" into your fantasy with your writing. I'm sure your stories are wonderfully creative and intense with love and a sense of belonging.

Maybe one day when you are truly ready this will become your life (only in 10 years or so) and you will find all that you are searching for, and it will be even more wonderful because it's real.

Oh my! we all want to live happily ever after........ something we might be searching for our whole lives, even if we're 13 or 40. You can always dream but don't let your dreams get you in trouble. My daughter is 22 and I count my lucky stars every day that she's not married yet, she has to much to do, there's a whole world out there and sometimes when you get married, the world becomes a lot smaller and you might miss out. I'm concerned that you write about running away from an abusive dad - is that part of your real world? If it is, be careful, sometimes we marry guys who are just like our dads, not sure why but it happens. Keep being a kid while you can, take up a sport or something, and come up with a new story to write, maybe running away to another country, exploring the world, becoming famous. And, heaven forbid, if there is abuse in your family, please tell someone about it, no one deserves to be abused. Good luck to you in your life.

I was married at 23, I knew that my husband was abusive before i married him. I wanted the same and so called happy family. I have a daughter around your age. I tell her everyday that she needs to stay a kid and not grow up too fast. Family is a hard responsibility I have 3 kids now and I am 35. Marriage doesn't solve anything. BTW I was only married for 6 years and h ave been divorced for 7. Good luck sweetie but try to stay in school and get an education. You don't want to have to struggle everyday to pay bills.

Grow up. That'll fix it. Be responsible. Live in the real world.

take time to realize that you have your whole childhood ahead of you and you couldn't possibly know who God has ordained for you to marry at this age. give it time to allow your personality and tastes mature or you could end up really unhappy-or worse...divorced.
