I am going through the same thing right now! The easier thing to do, although time consuming, is to sit down with the father or your significant other, each with a separate peice of paper and begin listing female names you like. Then switch papers and cross off the names you don't like and see what names are on both sheets. A good way to come up with names is to type baby names into any search engine and begin looking!

Try relating it to your heritage or a specific cultural interest. Say, if you're german, try to search german baby names on google and check out those websites. If the greek gods are an interest of yours, google Greek names or greek goddess names... Find a category that suits you and your interests and go from there. Some people just try to search names in general and get flustered and overloaded. Categorize and see what you come up with.

I had a hard time with it to. But then I stopped thinking about it so hard. One night while I was pregnant I was watching ER and there he was in his beautiful blackness...Mekhi Phifer. I added an "A" to his name and got Mekhia (Ma-Ky-A.) You have to be creative. I'm all for giving children unusual names...just as long as the majority of people can pronounce it. I tell folx once and they get it. Just don't name her somethin like Apple. That's not cute for baby's to have food names. Good luck with the baby...the fun starts in March...

Write down names you like as you come across them, get some books from the local library with names and meanings, discuss it with the baby's father. I could suggest some names for you but will only get a thumbs down for doing that, it's such a personal thing that it is really only you that can choose a name for your child.

We went into labor a month early and didn't ahve a name solidly picked out. When we met our baby, she seemd different than all the names we were considering anyway, so we went through the whole baby name wizard book in the hospital and named her at check out. She was Baby Girl Chan for 5 days. You can always wait till you meet her to name her.

A few names that I considered are Alyssa, Angelina. Arianna is really nice as well. How about after a grandmother or other person that might be really important in your life? I'm going to name my little girl after me and my mother!

28 weeks and 6 days with my first!
