I've had both, and the DS Lite is far better. The DS Lite has a backlight, so it's a lot brighter. The WiFi is the same, and both have a microphone, but it has been moved on the DS Lite from the bottom of the system to in between the screens. The stylus seems a bit wider, and the stylus storage is on the side instead of the back. The system is a lot smaller and lighter, and feels a lot better and less clunky in your hands than the old DS.

Also, GBA games don't fit completely in the DS Lite anymore, part of it will be sticking out. It is smaller, after all. Email me if you have any other questions about it.

I think the DS lite is just the new, slimmer, upgraded version of the DS, and I'm not sure if the original DS has WiFi.

The DS lite is the way to go.

"It is a slimmer, brighter, and more lightweight redesign of the earlier Nintendo DS model, designed to be aesthetically sleeker to complement Nintendo's Wii, and to appeal to broader commercial audiences."

Both DS' have WiFi compabilities.
